Saturday 26th September 2026-So many patterns end with ‘quilt as desired’, but how? Free motion work is not for everyone and taking your quilt to be machine quilted on a long-arm machine is expensive. This workshop encourages you to get the most out of your walking foot and move away from the usual fall back of ‘quilting in the ditch’. Marion will guide you through a series of walking foot basics and set you up for success. You will explore straight and matchstick quilting, create diamonds, chevrons and stars.
Bookings open now: Members are £40; non-members welcome with all enquires to chair@cambridgequilters.com
Saturday 21st November 2026-This is a casual cross-body bag for over the shoulder designed by Anna Graham. You must purchase the pattern in advance and do some advance preparation. This will give you maximum time to sew and make the bag during the workshop. Depending on your speed you may have to finish the bag at home. However, by the end of the workshop you will have all the skills needed to do so. If need be, Harriet will be available in meetings or online to help anyone who wants more advice and/or help to complete it.
