Challenges for Members 2025-2026

Each year, the Chair sets an exciting challenge for our members, encouraging them to explore new techniques, experiment with different fabrics, and share their learning with others. Whether working individually or collaboratively, this is a fantastic opportunity to spark creativity and try something new!

The challenge year runs from March to February, culminating in a special Show & Tell event in early 2026.

2025 Challenges & How to Take Part

? July 2025 – Summer Supper Mini Challenge
For this challenge, members are invited to create a fabric and stitch piece to be displayed in a 25cm square shadow box (available from Hobbycraft). This is a chance to play with textures, colors, and ideas—not a competition!

• Deadline: 9th July 2025 (submit in person or via email)
• Participation Reward: All entries will be entered into a reward draw, with three lucky participants receiving a special sewing gift!

• ? February 2026 – Main Challenge: "Inspired By An Artist"
  Design and make a quilt of any size, inspired by an artist of your choice—living or deceased, local or international, from any era. Let your creativity flow as you interpret their work through fabric and stitch!
