When does the group meet?
On the second Wednesday evening and the third Friday morning in the month except for August. That's 21 meetings every year to suit a variety of interests.
Where are the meetings held?
The Wednesday evening meeting is held at Impington Recreational Centre, 30 New Road, Impington, CB24 9EL from 7.30pm - 9.30 pm. The Friday morning meeting is held at Grantchester Village Hall, High Street, Grantchester, CB3 9NF from 9.30am - 12.00pm.
How can I join Cambridge Quilters?
Our membership is open and you can find out more on our 'Join us' page, but we encourage people to come as a visitor (£6 charge payable on the door).
When do I pay my subscription?
Our subscription year runs from January to January and subscriptions need to be paid by the end of January in order to attend the AGM. If a member has not renewed their subscription by the AGM, it will be assumed they do not wish to rejoin. We prefer subscriptions to be paid by BACS but are able to take card payments at meetings.
Do I need to be able to quilt to join the group?
Of course not! There is much to learn coming to meetings, advice and help is available along with the tea and coffee. Check our calendar for more information. Workshops are aimed at various levels of ability.
How do I sign up for a workshop?
Workshop lists are released well in advance before the date of the workshop and will be available at meetings. Please note, only a payment in full will guarantee your place. This can be refunded in full up to six weeks before the workshop. After this date it will only be refunded if there is a waiting list, or a replacement can be found.
How do I get information about meetings and workshops?
Information about the group will be on the website which is updated as often as often as required. Communications to members are sent via Mail Chimp.
Do you have a Risk Assessment Policy for meetings and workshops?
Yes, we do. You will find the link at the bottom of this page.
Can I find you on social media?
Of course! You can follow CQ on Instagram and Face Book where you will find regular posts with images of members' work and information about meetings/speakers and workshops.
Do you hold exhibitions?
We usually hold a large non-juried exhibition every three years. Our next exhibition will be on the weekend of 7th- 8th October 2023 and will take place at the David Rayner Centre, Scotsdales Garden Centre, 120 Cambridge Road, Great Shelford, Cambridge CB22 5JT
