The Rosie - Addenbrookes
For the past ten years we have been making cot quilts for the Neo Natal Unit. They are used on the wards and every mother takes one home. The quilts are made by members of Cambridge Quilters, other quilt groups including Barton Mills, Orwell and Great Chesterford. A number of individuals also contribute quilts they and their sewing groups have made. We deliver fifty quilts each month – 6,000 so far. Last year we made festive quilts and Christmas stockings for the unit. Instructions for the cot quilts can be found below.
Breast Care Unit - Addenbrookes
This project has been running for eight years. Heart shaped cushions and drainage bags are made for patients who have had surgery. There is also a changing display of quilts in the waiting room.
