Every year we set challenges for our members to enable them to come together creatively. This allows members to try new techniques, work with different fabrics and to share learning with others.

The challenge year runs from March until February the following year when we will have a show and tell at the start of 2024. Here all the details:

We now look ahead to our Summer Supper, Grand Exhibition and the next Challenges.  We are hoping for something MODERN. Here are your themes to work to:

 * For the Summer Supper on 12th July, please make a small quilt no larger than 20" square, with a 2" hanging sleeve on the theme of 'Auntie's Tea Shop'.  You can interpretate the theme anyway you like. Foundation Paper Piecing springs to my mind but there is appliqué or just cute fabric!   As last year, if you submit a mini quilt, either in person or via email by the deadline, your name will be placed in the 'reward draw'  for a set of fat quarters. 
 

We plan to display these mini quilts in the refreshments area of the exhibition next October.  

 
 * For early 2024 the main challenge is called 'Once Upon A Star'. Any size of quilt, made just how you want; collaborations welcomed...there are so many star blocks to choose from.
